• 400g of good quality steak mince
  • Pouch of Dan & Monstro Tex Mex sauce
  • Chilli flakes
  • Grated white cheddar cheese
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Jalapenos, sliced
  • 2-3 Avocados
  • One lime
  • Tortilla chips
  • Salt & Pepper to season

Serves 4

  • Pan-fry the steak mince in a little oil until browned.

  • Pour Dan & Monstro Tex Mex sauce over the mince and stir well.

  • Cover the pan & simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Season to your liking with salt and pepper.

  • Now make the guacamole. Chop up the avocado and add to a bowl. Squeeze fresh lime juice into the avocado and mush with a fork until it becomes smooth. Add some chilli flakes, salt and pepper.

  • Put tortilla chips on an oven tray, top with the Tex Mex mince mixture and sprinkle cheddar cheese on top. Cook for approximately 5 minutes at 180 degrees celsius. Keep an eye on the nachos because they could cook even quicker. As soon as the cheese is melted they are ready!

  • Add the guacamole and garnish with tomatoes and jalapenos, ready to share
